IHEDIOHA SUPPORTERS TAKE TO PRAYER AHEAD OF COURT REVIEW
Members of the Peoples Democratic Party and supporters of the ousted Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, have commenced a three day prayer session ahead of Supreme Court review of the judgment that returned Senator Hope Uzodinma as the governor of the state.
The people, who were mostly clad in black, gathered at Kanu Nwankwo Sports Arena Owerri to seek divine intervention in the matter, which is expected to be heard on Monday next week.
A clergyman, the Reverend Echi Nworgu, prayed God to ensure that the people of the state were served with justice when the Supreme Court reconvened on March second.
He urged the people to be confident as God had never forsaken those who reposed their trust in Him.
The Reverend Nworgu noted that the dispute on Imo election judgment was peculiar and appealed to the apex court to revisit the matter dispassionately for posterity.
In the meantime, there is anxiety in the state over the possible outcome of the application filed by Chief Ihedioha, which sort to set aside the January 14, 2010 ruling that sacked him as the Governor of Imo state.
