GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS IN IMO STATE REJECTS OUTCOME OF ELECTION

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the last Saturday’s governorship election in Imo State Senator Hope Uzodimma has rejected the result which saw the emergence of Chief Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner.

Addressing party faithful at his campaign office in Owerri, Senator Uzodimma alleged that the result announced by INEC did not reflect the figures that were generated from polling units.

He accused the electoral umpire of compromise and vowed to challenge the result in court.

Senator Uzodimma called on INEC to announce results of Oru East and Ohaji Egbema state constituencies election which were being awaited four days after the polls.

He called on the party faithful in the state to remain steadfast as all legal measures would be taken to reclaim their mandate.

The APC took the fourth position in the governorship election result announced by INEC in Imo state on Monday this week.
