Reporter : AMECHI ODO

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State says he will not watch the state slide into bitterness and disunity following verbal attacks that trailed his defection to the All progressives Congress (APC).

To this end, the Governor has apologised to those who may have been hurt by the actions and comments of his officials and supporters in the last two weeks.

Speaking at an event in his home town, Uburu, Governor Umahi directed his supporters to cease from abusing anyone over the political development but ensure that distorted information was put straight.

He apologised to those affected, noting that he could not sit in judgement with anyone.

According to the Governor, the apologies and forgiveness should be enough to settle all bad blood generated in the last two weeks.

There has been media war between Governor Umahi and some notable politicians in Ebonyi State, including Senator Sam Egwu and Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim championed by their supporters over allegations and counter allegations of betrayal and deceit.
