Current political crisis won’t ground Abia – Gov Ikpeazu

GovernorGov. Ikpazu Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has declared that none of the on-going projects across the state would be stopped as a result of the current political situation in the state.
Ikpeazu, who made the declaration yesterday at the Government House, Umuahia when he received in audience, members of the newly-elected state executive of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), said the current logjam in the state could not ground government contrary to the expectations of his detractors.
He dismissed it as mere distraction but vowed that he would never allow it to stall the wheel of progress of his administration.
Ikpeazu said he is in a hurry to transform the state and that the antics of his detractors would not stop him, assuring the people that he would continue to provide them with the dividends of democracy.
“I want to tell Abians that work has never stopped for one day since the current political imbroglio in the state started”, he said.
The governor charged the party executive to remain steadfast and supportive of his administration to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
Ikpeazu also expressed joy that the party’s executive was still intact despite the turn of events in the state in recent times.
