CHAIRMAN OF THE ENUGU STATE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION SWORN-IN

enugu govEnugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has sworn-in a new Chairman for the State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC.

He is  Doctor Michael Ezeugwu Ajuogu, SAN. Performing the ceremony at government house Enugu, Governor Ugwuanyi said that the process followed the expiration of the tenure of the former Chairman, Dr. Boniface Eneh and four other electoral commissioners of the body.

The Governor said that the four members sworn-in, including the Chairman, were to complement the services of the existing three serving members of the Commission in compliance with electoral law of the state.  Governor Ugwuanyi further maintained that the completion of the function would pave way for the commencement of political activities at the third tier of government in the state.

Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated Electoral Commissioners, the Chairman, Doctor Ajuogu assured the State Government that they would discharge their duty judiciously. Other members sworn-in are David Okeke-Ngene, Mrs. Obiageli Abba, Mr. Emeka Ede, and Doctor Green Anike-Nwaeze, while the Secretary of the Commission  was appointed from the Public Service, Mr. Tagbo Ozoemena Nnamah.
