UNAUTHORIZED OWNERS OF MASKED VEHICLES TO FACE HARD TIMES IN ANAMBRA

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State , Mr Mustapha Dandaura has ordered with immediate effect the arrest and prosecution of persons using tinted and masked vehicles without authorisation.

In a statement made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mr Haruna Mohammed , the Police Commissioner enjoins politicians to repaint their branded campaign vehicles on or before first of June or the Command will be left with no option than to impound such vehicles.

According to the press release , hoodlums in the State are using branded and tinted vehicles with covered number plates to perpetrated crimes in order to avoid being detected by the law enforcement agencies .

The release says that such acts are not only unlawful but also constitute serious security threats to the public which if left unchecked could worsen the security situation in the area.
Consequently the Police Commissioner warns that any security personnel found escorting their principal with an unmarked vehicle or those with covered number plates will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
