Ugwuanyi Partners Veterinarians on Economic Revival

ugwuanyi-partners-verterinariansGovernor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has disclosed the readiness of his administration to partner veterinary medical practitioners to chart a new course on ways to revive the state’s economy in the light of the severe economic challenges facing the country.
Gov. Ugwuanyi spoke while receiving a delegation of the state chapter of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, who were at the Government House, Enugu, to intimate him of the first ever joint International Congress of African Veterinary Association and the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association billed to hold in Enugu between October 31 and November 4.

The governor noted that the Veterinary Medical practitioners have a key role to play in the drive to revive the state’s economy, especially “in the areas of increased and more sustainable livestock production as well as improved public and environment health.”
“Be assured that government will always be ready to partner members of your association towards the achievement of this objective especially as it promises to be of immense benefit to our people and the state’s economy”, the governor said.
Earlier in his remark, the chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the congress, Prof. Den Chris Onah, told the governor that the proposed congress would serve as a veritable opportunity for the state to attract investment and showcase its economic potentials to the world especially in the area of agriculture and livestock production.
