Two football fans lost their lives in Abeokuta

liverpool-vs-man-uTwo football fans lost their lives in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Monday after watching the English Premiership match between Manchester United and Liverpool football teams.
The news was gathered that three persons were returning from a football viewing centre after watching the match which ended goalless draw at the Anfield.
They were returning back home in a black Toyota Camry with registration number, Lagos FST 419 CE.
The driver of the car who was identified simply as ‘Legacy’, was said to be on top speed and lost control while trying to negotiate a bend.
The car reportedly veered off the lane, crashed through the road median to the other lane before it crash-landed.
‘Legacy’ reportedly lost his life on the spot while the other occupants were rushed to the Federal Medical Center, Idi Aba in the state capital.
One of the two injured victims, whose name couldn’t be ascertained  at the time of filing this report also gave up the ghost in the early hours of yesterday while the third, Yekini Aderepo who is a student of Lisabi Grammar School, as at the time of filing this report, was on live support machine.
When our correspondent visited the hospital, relatives of the victims and symphatizers, including students of the Lisabi Grammar School were seen lamenting over the sad incident.
The Public Relations Officer of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the incident while officers of the Agency were seen at the scene of the crash.
According to him, the remains of the two persons had being deposited in the mortuary of the hospital.
