SOME INDIGENT PATIENTS AT ESUT TEACHING HOSPITAL APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE

Some indigent patients at the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu who could not pay their bills after being discharged, have appealed for assistance from spirited individuals to enable them to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones.

They made the appeal when a concerned women group visited the Children’s Ward of the hospital to celebrate Christmas with them.

Some of the mothers of the children who had their bills offset by the group thanked them for the love and prayed God to replenish their pockets.

 The leader of the team, PrincessAkunnaUbosi expressed shock over the number of people that needed help in the hospital and called for more support to ameliorate their plights.

 Others including; Mrs.  Vivian Ezeugwuand BerniceOgbuebor stated that the aim of the visit was to touch people’s life positively and promised that more would be done in that direction.

 They advised women to always pray for their families and the society at large.
