He spoke of his passion towards ameliorating the untold sufferings the victims passed through as a result of the displacement.
The camps visited were situated in Ogbaru, Onitsha North, Umuoba-Anam and Umueri.
The Governor while commiserating with victims of flood disaster in various camps, called on NEMA to live up to its core responsibility in a time like this.
The Governor also noted that victims from neighboring Delta State were also accommodated in the camp in Onitsha North.
He claimed his government had performed its bit by helping to evacuate the displaced persons and deployment of medical personnel.
The Governor added that his administration was interested in their plights, assuring them of provision of relief materials, installation of solar energy, insecticide treated nets and food stuffs.
The Governor, who said he was deeply touched by the situation at the affected places, including destruction of agricultural produce, promised necessary interventions.
Some affected victims who spoke with Radio Nigeria expressed happiness with the visit of the Governor.
