SOLUDO TO MAN: I WILL IMPLEMENT ANAMBRA STATE INDUSTRIAL POLICY SOON

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has reiterated his administration’s plans to transform the state to an industrial technology leisure hub.

Governor Soludo, who stated this in a Town Hall meeting with Manufacturers Association of Nigeria in Onitsha, pledged to partner the association and the organized private sector to achieve his administration’s industrialization vision.

He maintained that his administration’s industrialization agenda is geared towards making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.

Professor Soludo, while describing manufacturers as true partners in progress, restated the need to restore Onitsha and its environs to its fortune as one of the foremost commercial hubs in the country.

The Governor also noted that his administration had already started tackling the key foundational issues as well as made efforts to pass a law to make touting illegal and punishable by imprisonment in the area.

Governor Soludo announced that the State industrial policy would soon be implemented.

The Governor further encouraged citizens on the need to patronize local products, which he noted is the best way to grow the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Earlier, the Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Ms Ada Chukwudozie, had called on the Government of Anambra State to find lasting solution to challenges related to title documents (C of O), as well as constant power supply to enable the industries to operate optimally.

Ms Chukwudozie also extolled the Soludo led administration for inaugurating about 261 km of roads in the state, noting that it would bring speedy development.

The event featured the inauguration of the MAN Liason Office.
