SCHOOLS IN ANAMBRA PANIC OVER THE MEDICAL OUTREACH BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY

There was pandemonium today across many schools in Anambra State.

This followed rumours that some school children had been injected with Monkey Pox virus by some health personnel under the instruction of the Nigerian army. It was also alleged that the plan was to forcefully inject the drug in every school children.
This resulted in many parents & guardians rushing to schools to take their children & wards home.
The money pox scare was reportedly more in Nnewi & Ozubulu areas.
However Radio Nigeria gathered that it was a mere medical outreach by the army as part of its on-going Operation Python Dance II in the state.
Efforts by Radio Nigeria to get the reaction of the Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu was not successful as he was said to have traveled to Nnewi & Ozubulu areas where the rumour of the monkey pox injection started.
