POLICE OFFICERS IN IMO STATE WARNED AGAINST ANY ACT OF INDISCIPLINE

The police in Imo State say they will not tolerate any act of indiscipline or intimidation of civilians from their officers and men.

Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command, Mr. Chris Ezike stated this while addressing newly recruited police officers deployed to the State.

He advised them to acquaint themselves with the code of conduct guiding the force and warned against getting involved in civil matters or any form of anti-social behaviour.

Mr. Ezike urged the new officers who were all recruited from Imo State to key into the policy of the Inspector-General of Police on Community Policing to rid the nation of crime and criminality.

He noted that the newly engaged officers would be redeployed to the Forty Divisions of the Command across the State after undergoing a two-day orientation exercise.

A total of two hundred and twenty-nine young officers were engaged from Imo State during the last recruitment by the force.
