PERSONAL SECRETARY TO MD, FEDERAL NEUROPSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL ENUGU CHARGED FOR FRAUD AND EMPLOYMENT SCAM

The Personal Secretary to the Medical Director, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Enugu, Mrs Stella Achara has appeared in court in Enugu on allegations of fraud and employment scam.

Mrs Achara was charged with false pretense with intent to defraud and obtain money amounting to fourteen million Naira from job seekers by promising to assist them to secure employment in the hospital.

Confirming the matter to newsmen in Enugu, the Police Prosecution, Mr Damian Njoku-Umeh explained that the case had been adjoined to December, eighteen for hearing at the Enugu Court seven.

It was alleged that further Police investigation led to the recovery of many signed and unsigned appointment letters in the home of the suspect.

Some of the job seekers who claimed to have paid between a hundred and six hundred thousand naira to the suspect are Nwatarah Hope, Nwufor Ifeoma, Ikemefuna Abonyi, Stella Onyeji, UcheOnyia and Egbe Nonye.

Efforts to speak with Mrs Stella Achara and the Medical Director, Federal Neuropsychiatric hospital, Enugu, Dr. Jojo Onwukwe proved abortive.
