NIGERIANS ENJOINED TO PROTECT PUBLIC UTILITIES IN THEIR LOCALITIES

Communities in Enugu State are advised to protect government facilities provided for them to serve the purpose for which they are established.

The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Works,

Chief Toby Okechukwu gave the advice while inaugurating some federal projects in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State.

While handing over three block of classrooms constructed at Girls’ High School, Ugwuoba and Central School, UmuomeInyi to the schools’ managements, Chief Okechukwu maintained that education remained the key to empower the people.

The Lawmaker who further handed over a completed ten KVA Solar Panel Project to Inyi Community and supervised the on-going Water Reticulation Project atObunagboInyi charged the people of the area to put the projects to proper use.

He assured the people of continued quality representation and urged them to keep supporting government policies and programmes for more development.

In their separate speeches, the Head Teacher, Central School, Inyi,

Mrs Fanny Chukwu and the former Leader, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON in Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Chief NnannaNze commended the quality representation of the Lawmaker and assured him of their continued support.

Two Traditional Rulers from the area, Igwe Mike Mberedeogu and Igwe Ignatius Okpara including a former Commissioner in the State, Dr Godwin Udeuhele said the projects were significant to the people and promised to preserve them.

More constituency projects attracted by Chief Toby Okechukwu are still on-going in several communities in Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Local Government Areas.
