NDLEA TAKES CAMPAIGN AGAINST DRUG TRAFFICKING AND USE OF ILLICIT DRUGS TO PEACE MASS TRANSIT

Motorists are encouraged to desist from the involvement in illicit drugs.

The Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Enugu State, Dr. Tony Ohanyere  gave the advice during a one-day workshop organized by the Agency in collaboration with the Management of Peace Mass Transit, Enugu.

Dr. Ohanyere said the workshop was organized for the staff of the company to enlighten them on the activities of some drug dealers who used some courier companies to trade illicit and fake drugs.

In a lecture, an official of Agency, Mr. Eyiuche Ome-Adjai, cautioned drivers to be aware of the many tricks of some drug dealers, which included the falsification of documents, fake address destination, bribery, false documentation, use of third party and concealment.

In a remark, the Vice Chairman of Peace Mass Transit, Mrs. Emilia Onyishi, encouraged the NDLEA team not to relent in enlightening the staff on the identification and effect of illicit drug.

The theme of the workshop is, “Implication of Illicit Drug Trafficking Through Portal/Courier Companies Operator.”
