MARCH 18 POLLS: COLLATION OF RESULT ON GOING IN ABIA

Collation of results for the Governorship and state House of Assembly election held in Abia State is in process.
Radio Nigeria observed that voting began around 8.30 in the morning in most polling units visited in Umuahia North and South Local Government Areas.
According to our correspondent, the turnout of voters in the Governorship and state House of Assembly elections was lower when compared with the number of voters that came out during the Presidential and National Assembly election in the state.
The exercise was peaceful as security personnel were seen at various strategic areas keeping watch.
