IKPEAZU SWEARS IN 27 NEW COMMISSIONERS

Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has sworn in twenty seven new commissioners.

Speaking at the event Governor Ikpeazu explained that the state was in need of men to be trusted.

He noted that the position of commissioners was meant to bring positive development to d people and charged the newly sworn in commissioners to ensure they took governance and policies of government to the grassroots.

According to the Governor, the commissioners must hold meetings with d people at the grassroots to sensitise them to the activities of government.

He therefore urged those who were returning to as commissioners to use the second opportunity to perform better than they did at first, while urging them to be loyalty to, God, the government and the people in the discharge of their duties.

Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the commissioner for works Mr. Eziuche Ubani commended the governor for finding them worthy to be appointed as commissioners and promised to live above board in their various ministries.

Mr. Eziuche further assured the governor of their continued loyalty and to ensure that the policies of government get to the grassroots.

Some of the new commissioners are Chief John Okeiyi for Ministry of Information, Dr. John Ahukanna for Health, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya, Trade and Investment while Christopher Enweremadu is in-charge of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
