GOV UZODINMA THREATENS TO HAND OVER CORRUPT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS TO ANTI-GRAFT AGENCIES

Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma, has challenged political appointees in the state to be more committed and see their positions as an opportunity to serve the people effectively.

He gave the charge at the opening of a Three-Day Retreat organized for members of his cabinet in Owerri, the state capital.

Governor Uzodinma called on the appointees to steer away from all forms of corrupt practices, noting that he would not hesitate to hand over anyone caught in such to anti-graft agencies.

The Governor explained that the retreat would enhance the capacity of the participants to understand policy trust of his administration and reposition them for greater service delivery.

Governor Uzodinma reiterated his commitment towards addressing infrastructural challenges facing the state, pointing out that policies geared towards eradication of hunger and promoting quality education would be vigorously pursued.

The theme of the Retreat is “Re-Energizing Imo Towards Sustainable Development: A Collective Action.”
