GOV UZODINMA TASKS IMSU GOVERNING COUNCIL ON IMPROVED QUALITY OF LEARNING

Governor Hope Uzodinma has inaugurated members of the newly constituted Governing Council of the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri. During the Inauguration ceremony at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers Government House Owerri, the Governor expressed displeasure with the fallen quality of learning at the school in recent times.
He however charged the new governing council to outline a road map that would proffer a better quality of education, a conducive learning environment and well committed staff for the institution.
The Governor further announced his administration’s readiness to support the move to make the institution a great citadel of learning.
Governor Uzodinma noted that the members of the council had earned a success story in their various fields of endeavor and urged them to give their best to Imo people devoid of personal interest.
The Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the newly inaugurated Governing Council, the Most Reverend Lucius Ugorji who is also the Catholic Bishop of Umuahia, said the task before them would be tackled with strong support of the government and management and staff of the institution.
Bishop Ugorji also called for collaboration of stakeholders with honesty and sense of responsibility to help bring back the school to standard.
Other members of the council who were inaugurated included Chief Leo Stan Eke, Chief Tony Ezenna, and Professor Chinedu Nebo.
