Gov Ugwuanyi threatens to sack teachers

En2016_06_20_72453ugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi yes­terday threatened to sack any class room teacher involved in the act of sabo­tage as government would not condone such individu­als planning to frustrate the effort of his administration in educational sector.
The governor stated this in Nsukka at the grand-finale of a quiz competition he co-sponsored, under the platform of Ochudo Foun­dation, with Hon Chin­edu Nwamba, representing Nsukka East Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
The competition, which involved 32 secondary schools in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state, ended with Com­munity Secondary School, Agu Umabor emerging the champion, while Commu­nity Secondary School Ede-Oballa came second.
More so, computer sets and cash prizes were given to the two schools, as well as the St Cyprians’ Special Science School, which came third in the competition.
The governor who was represented by the Commis­sioner for Education in the state, Prof Uche Eze noted that his administration was passionate about education, according to him, his gov­ernment would not allow any teacher to frustrate such efforts.
