Gov. Ugwuanyi Assures Aku Community Adequate security against speculations of Herdsmen attack

4Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State,  receiving a distress call from the Principal of St. James Boys Secondary School, Aku, Igbo Etiti LGA of the State, Rev. Fr. Patrick Ujah, over speculations of a planned attack from herdsmen in their area, visited the school and Aku community to assure the students and people of the community of their safety. The governor also summoned the Divisional Police Officer DPO of the council area, SP Ifeanyi Nwoye who assured him and people of the community that all the security agencies are on ground to protect the area.
 
The principal of the school commended the governor for his urgent response to his call and efforts to provide adequate security of the students and teachers of the school, saying that it was a display of responsive leadership.
 
While at the Aku square with the governor, the security agencies also allayed fears of any attack on the community, reassuring the governor that they are on top of the situation. They also urged the people not to panic further but remain law abiding and vigilant and inform 2the 1security operatives of any suspicious activity or movement in their vicinity for quick response.
