GOV NWIFURU APPROVES EMPLOYMENT OF 195 HEALTH PERSONNEL IN 13 GEN HOSPITALS

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved the immediate recruitment of one hundred and ninety-five medical personnel for the thirteen general hospitals across the local government areas of the state.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, explained that the approval was in line with the promises made by Chief Nwifuru during his political campaign.

According to the statement, the personnel to be recruited include 39 medical doctors, 39 nurses and 39 Laboratory Scientists.

Others are 39 pharmacists and 39 health attendants.

The statement directed the State Head of Service and Chairman Civil Service Commission to urgently commmce the recruitment process for the vacant positions.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the 13 general hospitals reconstructed by the past administration have not been optimally utilized for years due to lack of medical personnel.
