FRSC ENUGU ZONE JOINED ITS COUNTERPART TO COMMEMORATE WEST AFRICA ROAD SAFETY DAY
WARSO was formed in two thousand and eight in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso by the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS with a mandate to all member countries to create a common platform where they will reinforce, reinvigorate and promote road safety activities in their various Countries.
The Deputy Corps Commander and Head of Administration, FRSC State Command Mr. Moses Okihan who spoke on behalf of the Sector Commander said motorists are critical stakeholders on WARSO as they celebrate this year’s Road safety.
Mr. Okihan who said the theme of this year’s WARSO is very apt to the Nigerian situation and attributed fifty percent of road crashes to over-speeding on the roads.
The theme of this year is “If we Don’t Kill Over-Speeding, over Speed will Kill Us”.
The event was marked with sensitization campaign on some major roads in Enugu metropolis.
