The Federal Government has challenged ministries and organizations charged with the responsibility of service delivery to redouble their efforts in enhancing customer satisfaction.

The National Coordinator of SERVICOM in the Presidency, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemili, gave the charge in Owerri during the formal opening of capacity building workshop for focal persons, Desk and SERVICOM officers in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government.

She said the COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of challenges, hence service providers must be innovative and adopt a more positive attitude to remain relevant.

Mrs. Akajemili said the workshop would provide a platform to re-examine the activities of service providers in the outgoing year and to help chat a new course to ensure quality service to citizens.

Mrs. Akajemili explained that SERVICOM has developed strategies to monitor progress in service delivery in MDAs and deal with reports of inadequacies.

Some participants, including Mrs. Fatima Ekle from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and Mr. Mohammed Olakunle from Petroleum Equalization Fund, said they were now equipped to render better service.

The participants are expected to transfer knowledge acquired from the training to others who were not part of the exercise.
