FAMILY SEEKS JUSTICE FOR 29 YEAR OLD SON MURDERED WHILE SEPARATING FIGHT IN ANAMBRA STATE
The family of the man who was allegedly murdered last year in Isuaniocha, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State while separating a fight, is calling for justice over the matter.
The twenty-nine year old Bonaventure Mkpume, only son of his mother, was mudered on the March 25, 2019, when he offered to separate a fight between a couple in their neighborhood, leaving behind his distraught wife and aged mother.
It was a sad moment as the remains of late bonaventure mkume arrived his compound at Umueze village Isuaniocha.
Youths, men and women took their turns to pay their last respect to the deceased.
The aged mother, Mrs. Grace Mkpume could not hold back her tears as she called on government to grant justice to the soul of her only son by not letting the suspect walkout free from custody.
The wife, Chineny,e while recounting her ordeal in the last one year, called on God of vengeance to come to their rescue.
“All i want is let those that killed my husband not go free, let them go in for their crime.
“Its not been easy for me since past one year but thank God for family and friends,” lamented the young widow.
One of the uncles, Chief Williams Obiora who expressed regret that the death had caused the family great pain, said he was optimistic that justice would prevail on the matter.
“My prayer is let God console the mother and his wife, and let the judiciary and the long arm of law deal with the suspects as they are already in court,” Mr. Obiora expressed.
A community leader, Crown Prince John Emebo, described the deceased as a hardworking man whose life was cut short at his prime.
“I believe justice will be done, but let God touch the heart of man to know that only God can give justice. Since the suspects are already in court, let justice prevail,” prayed.
Earlier in a sermon, the pastor that presided over the burial service, Evangelist Anthony Ike, said death was a necessary end that everyone must face and encouraged the family to have faith in God as he alone will console them.
Late Bonaventure Mkpume met his untimely death last year 2019, when he went to separate a fight between a couple and was butchered by alleged cult boys after the couple ran inside and locked their gate leaving him at the mercy of the cultists.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the deceased was buried after court granted an appeal by the family to lay his body to rest.
