ENUGU STATE LEGISLATURE TAKES CASE TO GOD

Enugu state house of assemblyThe mood at the premises of the Enugu state house Assembly was electrifying as members and staff gathered to thank God for keeping them alive and well blessed. the presiding clergy Reverend father Johncross Okoh who is in-charge of Blessed Sacrament Parish Enugu charged political office holders to imbibe the culture of selfless services noting that their position was as a result of a privilege not right and wants political office holders to see their position as a call for service to humanity.

Rev. Okoh pointed out that services must be in love not wickedness as sited in relevant areas in the bible. In an intercessory prayers by some members and staff of the Assembly appealed to God to give the leaders wisdom to lead the people.

The leader of the house, Chief Ikechukwu Ezeugwu explained that the house would intensify its oversight function in ensuring that good governance gets to the people. In an interview with our correspondent Oliver Ossai, the speaker, Edward Ubosi maintained that the exercise would be on monthly basis.

He assured the people of the state that the house would carry out its legislative activities with vigour, and that they are working tirelessly in ensuring that this years appropriation bill is passed without delay. Chief Ubosi promised that the sixth Assembly would not disappoint the people of Enugu state.
