EBONYI STATE TO COLLABORATE WITH NIGERIAN ARMY TO ENSURE SMOOTH OPERATION OF OPERATION PYTHON DANCE TWO

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TukurBrutai says the Military did not over step its bounds by pronouncing the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB a terrorist organization.

Lieutenant General Brutai gave the clarification at the formal launch of Operation Python Dance Two at Nkwoagu Military Cantonment Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

He explained that what the Military did was to raise public awareness on what IPOB stood for to enable the Federal Government to take the right steps towards handling the organization.

The Army Chief said Operation Python Dance Two was to sharpen the skills of the Nigerian Troops and improve on their Civil-Military relationship.

Speaking on the occasion,the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, DrKelechiIgwe enjoined the people of the South East not to be worried over the operation as it was aimed at strengthening the security of the zone.

DrIgwe said the State Government would collaborate with the Nigerian Army to ensure smooth operation of the exercise.

Operation Python Dance Two commenced in the State with free medical services for the Amagu community in Abakaliki Local Government Area.
