Ebonyi State Gov.Vows To Shut Any Public Facility Not Complying With Preventive Measures Against COVID-19

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has embarked on sensitization of staff members and costumers of Commercial Banks and Eatery joints in Abakaliki on preventive measures against COVID- 19 pandemic.

Speaking at some of the facilities along side members of the State Government’s Team against COVID 19, Chief Umahi explained that the sensitization was to ascertain measures put in place by the facilities to protect their customers and members of staff from contracting the virus.

He warned that the State Government would shut down any public facility that failed to provide running water, hand sanitizers and face masks for their workers and customers.

Later in a State wide broadcast, Governor Umahi announced that five persons who recently returned from foreign trips or had contact with returnees had subjected themselves to self isolation.

The Governor urged the people of the State to adhere strictly to the closure of all entry points from Saturday this week.
