COVID-19 : INABILITY TO WEAR FACE MASK COULD BE DESCRIBED AS CRIME – Prof. Maurice Iwu

Imo state task force on Covid-19 says it has devised another method of curtailing the spread of virus diseases in the state by engaging different arms of government, ministries and agencies. The task force also disclosed that the interim report which is considered as phase one report of their ten weeks work as a team has been submitted to state government.
The Chairman of the task force Professor Maurice Iwu made this known to news men shortly after their meeting in Owerri. He stated that out of two thousand sixty-four samples collected in a day, three hundred and ninety-nine positive, one thousand five hundred and twenty-five negatives while one hundred and seventeen are still awaited.
Professor Iwu observed that inability to wear face mask could be described as crime while urging people to observe NCDC rules and guidelines. Correspondent reports the two testing centers approved by Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC are Federal Medical Center Owerri and Private owned Everest Laboratory Owerri.
