COVID-19 : ANAMBRA STATE GOVT. COMMENCED TEST ACROSS THE STATE

The Anambra State Government says it has commenced aggressive tests for Covid-19 across the State. To this end, it has concluded plans to engage religious and community leaders as well as other critical stakeholders including traditional rulers to ensure that detections are done as early as possible in all the communities in the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Mr. C- Don Adinuba made this known while speaking with Radio Nigeria correspondent Uche Ndeke in Awka. According to Adinuba , early detection increases chances of treatment and survival of any Covid -19 case.
He noted that the state would also commence public enlightenment to all the markets to educate people on the need for not only observing the safety protocols but to also notify trained officials who would take samples for testing.
The State Commissioner for Information who stated that the NCDC certified lab at the Cukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka has the capacity to take about Four Hundred and Seventy samples daily, however, stressed that Covid-19 tests and treatment are free.
