COMMISSIONER EVALUATES SOLUDO’S YOUTH TRAINING CENTRES

The Anambra State Government has charged youths taking part in the “one youth two skills programme” of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration to be serious with their entrepreneurial training.

The State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha-Mba, gave the charge when he visited some centres on an assessment and evaluation on seven training centers in the area.

The training centre are located in Awka South, Anaocha, Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South Local Government Areas.

The Youth Commissioner, while describing Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a futuristic and youth-friendly Governor, advised participants to take advantage of the programme to become economically independent and socially responsible.

Mr. Agha-Mba, while declaring that youth empowerment was at the heart of Governor Soludo’s administration, stated that the one youth two skills programme was aimed at creating smart entrepreneurs that would make Anambra State the skill hub of Africa in shortest possible time.

He explained that the ongoing entrepreneurial classes would last for six months adding that the next stage of the programme would be the cooperative stage.

The Commissioner for Youth thanked the facilitators for the organized manner with which they were handling the training classes.

He assured them of the necessary logistic support among others.

Participants, who spoke with Radio Nigeria, extolled Governor Soludo for giving them an opportunity to learn new skills through the programme and promised to take advantage of the opportunity given to them.
