Ayokunle emerges new CAN President
The 
President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Olasupo Ayokunle, has emerged the new President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Olasupo Ayokunle, has emerged the new President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).The election, which was held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday, had over 82 persons in attendance.
Rev Ayokunle defeated his opponent, Elder Joseph Otubu of the Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (MCCSW) with 54 votes to 28.
The outgoing President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor who presided over the meeting, announced the result at 2.30pm to a rousing applause.
