ATCOI COE PLEGDES TO PRODUCE TEACHERS & STUDENTS WITH CAPABILITY TO ADVANCE SOCIETY

The African Thinkers Community of Inquiry College of Education, (ATCOI COE) Enugu, has matriculated over one thousand students admitted for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The matriculants, which comprised students for sandwich programme, degree, and Nigeria Certificate In Education, (NCE) swore to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

Addressing the students during the 18th matriculation at the Coal City University Campus Matriculation Ground, Emene, Enugu, the Provost of the College, Professor Ikechukwu Akude, said the institution was desirous of improving the quality of education in Nigeria by raising teachers with capacity to affect the system for a higher productivity and societal advancement.

Professor Akude explained that “the college facilitates the growth of the students in the mastery of critical, creative, caring, system and synergic thinking skills that will manifest in the ability to apply acquired knowledge to real life situations.”

The Provost reminded the students that the society looked up to them to bring positive and enduring revolution as change agents.

In their goodwill messages, the Vice-Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, (ESUT) Professor Aloysius, Okoli, and that of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, Professor Christian Anieke, both represented, commended the college for what its training of quality teachers, promising to continue partner them for the advantage of the society.

For the Chairman and Executive Officer, Coal City University, Enugu and African Thinkers Community of Inquiry College of Education, ATCOI COE, Chief Chinedu Anih, the college was driven by an overwhelming desire to encourage vibrant academics with the right skills.

Chief Anih, assured the students and parents that the college would continue to build on the significant milestone it had attained, while promising to continue to produce teachers with the capability to meet contemporary issues.

Some of the students, who spoke with Radio Nigeria, expressed joy and promised to give their best.

ATCOI COE, Enugu is affiliated with the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, (ESUT) and has campuses in Thinkers Corner and Independence Layout Enugu, among other locations.
