ABIA GOVT. PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR NYSC

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps NYSC, Brigadier General SuleKazaure, says the dreams of establishing the scheme 45 years ago by its founding fathers have been actualized.

Brigadier General Kazaure stated this at the inauguration of staff conference hall at the NYSC Secretariat, Umuahia, Abia State.

He noted that through the scheme youths from various ethnic andreligious backgrounds have been able to promote a peaceful and mutual co-existence as well as national development.

The NYSC boss commended the Abia State Government for its assistance to the Scheme in the State.

In a remark, the Chairman NYSC Governing Board and Commissioner for Youth Development in the State, Comrade Ike Anyatonwu stated that the administration of Governor OkezieIkpeazu was committed to improving the welfare of corps members posted to the State.

In an address, the State Coordinator NYSC in the State, Mrs. Francesca Ifon, thanked the Director General for his encouragement towards the building of the project.
