UNIBEN suspends post-UTME in accordance with FG directives

The U2016_06_29_94090niversity of Benin has suspended its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination saying it is in compliance with the Federal Government’s directive.
The examination which was scheduled to begin on Monday was announced suspended by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Michael Osasuyi over the pronouncement by the federal government through the Education Minister, Adamu Adamu adding that the money paid by the candidates for the exercise must be returned.
Osasuyi said, “We are suspending this exercise now, in compliance with the Federal Government directive. We are suspending forthwith.”
While students already showed up for the exercise which was scheduled to end in two weeks, the spokesman advised they should be calm and said another date will be communicated to all.
“They (candidates) should just be calm and rest assured that the University of Benin will not in any way flout the Federal Government’s directive and will not in any way undermine their choice for the university,” he said.
