Kidnapped wives of Nasarawa commissioner released
Against the belief of having to pay ransom to kidnappers as a condition to secure the release of the abducted victims of the wives of a Nasarawa State Commissioner kidnapped by armed gunmen last Thursday, the Nasarawa Police Command have confirmed that the abducted wives
of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Tijani, were released unhurt and without any ransom.
Confirming that incident, the Police Public Relation Officer of the State Command, ASP Idirisu Kennedy, said the abductors only succumbed to mounted pressures in search of their hideout by both security
operatives and the locals to the release of the women at Edege Gida of Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He said no ransom was paid to the abductors as the women were released unhurt.
Their husband, Hon. Ahmed Tijani further confirmed the released of his wives to the newsmen on phone, saying “I am grateful to Allah”.
