FG TO PLUG LOOTED FUND BUDGET INTO 2018 BUDGET
The Federal Government says monies recovered from treasury looters will be used in funding the 2018 budget.
The Special Assistant to the President on Justice Reforms, Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Enugu.
She explained that the anti corruption mechanism put in place by president Buhari would prevent people from looting public funds.
Mrs. Ibekaku-Nwagwu who is also the National Coordinator, Local Government Partnership said that all the recovered monies were domiciled in a centralized account where no individual could have access to them.
According to the Special Assistant,, the “Proceeds of Crime Bill” already before the National Assembly is aimed at making the anti corruption war to last beyond the present government.
