FG LAUDED FOR INCREASING RESOURCES FOR FAMILY PLANNING

The Federal Government has been commended for increasing resources for family planning to enhance services to the people.

The Chairman, Association for Advancement of Family Planning, AFFP, Dr. Ejike Oji gave the commendation in an interview in Enugu at a National Parents’ Summit and Family Support Award Nigeria 2018.

Dr Oji also expressed the hope that the macro-economic policies of the government if well implemented would help to improve the income of the average person to enable them to spend more time taking care of the family.

The key note Speaker at the event, Pastor Chikadibia Ifedinma, who described the programme as vital, noted that when Parents played their role properly, the children would be better guided.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, Parent Child Centre, Enugu, Mrs Peggy Chukwuemeka said the essence of the Summit was to bring Stakeholders to discuss family problems and solution for a peaceful society.

The occasion featured award of prizes to some Nigerians, among whom were the wife of a former Vice President, Mrs Titi Abubakar and Dr Ejike Oji for their contributions to the development of the society.
