KANYE WEST SPARKS MORE TWITTER CONTROVERSY AS HE SHOWS SUPPORT FOR BILL COSBY

imagesIf you’ve ever seen Kanye West on any public appearance, you know the man is not afraid to voice his opinions, and his attitude is no different when he’s tweeting. Last week, it was a 17-tweet rant about Wiz Khalifa, and this week he is proclaiming Bill Cosby’s innocence.

To be fair, there are a plenty of celebrities on Twitter who are determined to confuse everyone. On the light-hearted, hilarious side of the spectrum, you have Cher who regularly tweets random emojis that may or may not make sense.

But Kanye is on the complete opposite end where he continues to enrage almost everyone on Twitter.

The most confusing part of the rapper’s tweet wasn’t that he thinks the comedian is innocent, but that he felt the need to tweet about it without any context. He simply put “BILL COSBY INNOCENT !!!!!!!!!!” and then moved on to his next topic, LeBron James’ Nike shoes.

Something as controversial as Bill Cosby wasn’t going to go uncontested on the Internet and almost immediately the tweets started pouring in from fans and celebrities alike.

Comedian Sarah Silverman started by tweeting, “Kanye!! You can’t be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy.”

And from there the responses just got more hilarious. Comedian Billy Eichner wondered, “Are we sure Kanye isn’t just a character from Zoolander?”

And Scandal star Josh Malina took a stab at Kanye’s tweeting style when he tweeted, “KANYE WEST DELUDED !!!!!!!!!!”

Last week a Montgomery County judge rejected Cosby’s request to drop the dozens of sexual assault charges filed against him, but his legal team has announced they plan to appeal the decision, which will drag court proceedings out longer. Whether or not that prompted Kanye to tweet about Cosby, we don’t know, but what we do know, thanks to Twitter, is where he stands on the issue.
