According to the scheme, each house hold receives ₦5,000 every month to help reduce the rate of poverty in the country.

Dr. Sinkaiye was represented by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Mr. Emmanuel Eban, who said the training was to equip the local government facilitators with the skills to build beneficiaries’ capacity to save, with a view to improving their productivity, wealth creation and form groups to enhance their income generation ability.

In a remark, the Head of Unit, Anambra State Cash Transfer Unit, Mr. Raph Enukora, explained that the training would equip both the beneficiaries and the facilitators in savings mobilization group formation and management.

He said the facilitators would impart the knowledge gained from the training to the beneficiaries, who would now understand the importance and process of savings as well as adopt positive attitude to saving culture.

One of the facilitators, Mr. Boniface Muoka, from Orumba South Local Government Area of the State, promised to step down all he learnt from the training to the beneficiaries in his area.
