ENUGU ASSEMBLY PASSES 2018 BUDGET OF OVER 103BN

The Enugu State House of Assembly has passed this year’s budget of over 103,000,000,000

The Budget tagged “Budget of Sustainable and Economic Growth” was present  to the House by the Governor of Enugu State, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on December, 28 2017.

Leading in the debate the leader of House, Chief Ikechukwu Ezeugwu urged the members to pass the bill noting that the exercise would help in fast tracking infrastructure development in the rural areas.

The House has been a beehive of activities, soon after the presentation of the budget, as ministries, departments and agencies took turns to defend their budgets.

The Speaker of the house, Chief Edward Ubosi commended members of the house and Committee for their robust input during the process.

Chief Ubosi assured the people that the House would do its best in ensuring implementation of the budget through its oversight function.

Mean while, the commencement date of the bill, January, 1, 2018.
