A youth leader in Abia State, Mr. Lucky Nwaogu, has advocated review of youth empowerment program in Nigeria to enable indigent youths in the country benefit from the programme.
Mr. Nwaogu made this known while addressing a youth group at Amaputa Community in Isiala Ngwa North of Abia State.
He explained that programs such as the N-Power programme of the Federal Government should be made more virile to accommodate learning of crafts including welding, auto mechanic and ensure the procurement of the tools with the aim of establishing the youths after training.
Mr. Nwaogu, claimed that government of the day did not have concrete plan to make young people self reliant.
He however urged youths to engage in meaningful ventures to earn a living and desist from acts that could jeopardise their future.
