STAKEHOLDERS IN EDUCATION CALL FOR REGULAR MEETING BETWEEN LABOUR AND GOVT

Osinbajo-with-NLC-leadersThe Chairman Trade Union Congress Enugu State Chapter, Comrade Igbokwe Chukwuma Igbokwe, has advocated regular meeting and communication between the organizedLabour and Government to avert strikes.

Comrade Igbokwe who spoke in Media Link, a Radio Nigeria, Enugu Live Interactive Programme, while lamenting the time  and resources, lost during strikes urged both parties to implement  agreement  reached during negotiations.

 Also contributing to the Programme, a Former Commissioner for Inter-Ministerial Dutiesin the state , Pastor Beloved Dan Anike called for greater involvement of Civil Servants in Budget making and other key policy formulations.

Another guest and Head of Department, Education Management, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Agbani, DrChineduAguba urged the Government  and Trade Unions to respect agreements and implement them always.

He explained that any agreement reached  serves as a Legal document.

Callers in the programme stressed the need for sacrifice from both the Government and the Organized Labour for the development of the economy.
