SALLAH: SERVE WITH UTMOST SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY — ANAMBRA SPEAKER URGES LEADERS

REPORTER: UCHE NDEKE

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Somtochukwu Udeze, has called on leaders at different levels to serve with utmost sense of responsibility and fear of God irrespective of their religious affiliations.

Felicitating Muslims on behalf of the state legislature as they celebrate the feast of Eid-El-Kabir, Mr. Udeze stressed the need for peace and tolerance to thrive among members of diverse religious bodies in the country in order to achieve sustainable peace and development.

The Speaker urged Nigerians, especially Muslims to use the opportunity of the Eid-El-Kabir to pray for the corporate existence of different tribes in the country.

He noted that with collective prayer, most of the ethnic, socio-economic and other challenges confronting the Nation would be addressed.

The Speaker commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing an enabling environment for the Muslims in the state to propagate their faith and earn a living.

He emphasized the need for them to reciprocate the gesture by giving maximum support to the administration.

Mr. Udeze enjoined Muslims to eschew bitterness, resentment and reconnect themselves to those things that would continue to uplift the people and unite the country.
