ABDUCTION: GOV OTTI RECEIVES 3 RESCUED SIBLINGS

The three kidnapped siblings in Oboro Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, who were recently rescued and reunited with their parents, have been presented to Governor Alex Otti
The rescued siblings: Gideon 8yrs; Divine 6 yrs; and Israel 4yrs, were abducted while returning home from school on 10th of May 10, 2024.
Receiving the rescued children alongside their father, Governor Otti advised parents to prioritize the care of their children.
The Governor, while pledging that the rescued children would receive necessary support from the government, urged the residents to go back to the positive culture of seeing all children as their own.
He ordered security operatives, who took part in the rescue operations, to follow through and ensure that everyone involved in the abduction would be prosecuted to serve as deterrent to others.
According to the Governor, government has put in place robust security architecture to protect lives and property, adding that government is creating an economy where everyone with genuine business will participate.
In their separate narrations on how the children were rescued, the Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Comrade Osinachi Nwakaile, and the member representing Ikwuano State Constituency, Mr. Boniface Isienyi, described the rescue as a difficult task, noting that the children were rescued from Ekwulobia, Anambra State and other two different locations outside the state.
