SECURITY MEN ARREST TRANSFORMER ROBBERY GANG IN EBONYI

A four man gang who specializes in stealing Electricity Transformers and wire installations has been apprehended by local vigilance group in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the four suspects were arrested at Akpoha while attempting to steal a particular transformer installed in the area.
Speaking with journalists, the Commander of the Vigilance group, Mr. Michael Urom, explained that the suspects came from South South Zone in company of an indigene of Akpoha, who is currently at large.
It was gathered that the suspects were handed over to the Police for further interrogation and prosecution but when contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Joshua Ukandu, explained that he was yet to be briefed.
