YULETIDE SECURITY: NSCDC DEPLOYS PERSONNEL TO STRATEGIC LOCATIONS IN ABIA

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State command, Mr. Paul Igwebuike, has assured residents of the state of adequate security of their lives and property before, during and after Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Mr. Igwebuike gave the assurance while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Umuahia.

He noted that the command had deployed personnel to strategic locations across the state with special considerations to recreation and event centers, worship places, motor parks, markets and other flash points as well as increased motorized patrols across the state.

According to the NSCDC state Commandant, Heads of different Departments, Tactical Teams and Commanders of Special Operations have been properly briefed on the Yuletide Operational Order which must be carried out to the latter in line with the Corps’ Standard Operating Procedure.

Mr. Igwebuike thanked the public for providing useful information to the Corps which had contributed to the improved security situation in the state and advised them to remain law abiding in their celebrations.
