1,360 YOUTH CORPS MEMBERS BEGIN SERVICE YEAR IN EBONYI

About one thousand three hundred and sixty 2023 Batch C, stream 1 Corps members deployed to Ebonyi State have been sworn in for their mandatory service year.
At the event at Permanent Orientation Camp, Old Macgregor College Afikpo, Governor Francis Nwifuru called on the corps members to see their posting to the state as an opportunity to contribute their quota to national development.
The Governor, who was represented by the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Richard Idike, pointed out that the scheme had played a pivotal role towards uniting Nigerians and urged the corps members to shun tribalism.
The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Folunke Oladeinde, advised the Corps members to use the three weeks orientation course to prepare themselves for the task ahead, noting that programmes had been created in the camp for skill acquisition.
The State Chief Judge, Justice Elvis Ngene represented by Justice Nicholas Nwode, administered oath of allegiance to the corps members.
