40,000 YOUTHS ENGAGED IN SKILL UP IMO PROJECT COHORT THREE

Imo State Government is set to empower another set of youths in digital skills that will help them create wealth and employment.
Governor Hope Uzodimma stated this at the launch of forty thousand Imo Youths in Skill Up Imo Project Cohort Three at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Governor Uzodimma noted that the administration was committed to engage youths to reduce crime, youth restiveness and make them financially independent.
The Governor announced that the Imo State Government had signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with world-class companies that required the services of trained youths.
“We want to create Jobs, we want to destroy the people from being idle because an idle man is a devil’s workshop. We want to reduce crime if totally eliminate crime in Imo State.
“We want to engage our young men and women. We want you to make money we want you to be addressed as a successful human beings. We want to panel beat your site into falling in line with consist order,” he said.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Government, Mr. Chimezie Amadi, stressed that the government had trained and equiped twenty thousand youths.
